an embroidered manufacturer's label sewn in place at junction on the reverse of the ribbon inscribed "MASONIC MANUFrs ESTd 1801 Spencer & Co 19
After serving in the Royal Canadian Corps of Signals
with a large "18R" in black marker to the upper left of the moisture shield
which was worn by all ranks of the German Field Police up to the rank of Lieutenant (Leutnant)

This badge was introduced in 1943, in tradition of WW1 Hungarian storm trooper's badges.
